Peter had just come from ministering to the Gentiles and the Jews questioned him on this. Jewish custom forbid Jews and Gentiles to associate together, let alone be in each other’s house. Peters response is great, “who was I to think that I could oppose God? This got me thinking. Do I put God in a box? Are there boundaries to what I think God should do and how it should be done? The answer is yes, we all do. God’s ways are not our way, nor are His thoughts our thoughts. His ways and thoughts are way beyond what we can comprehend. When things don’t make sense to us we natural discount God’s abilities.
Peter saw and heard the Gentiles speaking in tongues, this was not fake and he couldn’t deny it either. So he accepted it. God does crazy wonderful and unexpected things, so why limit Him. I am on a journey of healing right now and it is nothing that I thought it would be, and that's ok. It’s the best, it's a complete work. Dependency can be scary, but in the Master’s hand I have nothing to fear.
Keep working on my Lord, I know I’m safe.
