Traffic Ticket

Have you ever been pulled over for speeding? There I was just coasting along listening to Focus on the Family (I should have been focusing on my speed) and then all of a sudden I heard the siren and saw those red and blue lights flashing behind me. The police always ask you for three things: driver’s license, registration, and proof of insurance. This got me thinking, which is something I do too much.

What do these three things represent?

· Driver’s License: My identity
· Registration: Who is responsible for this vehicle?
· Proof of Insurance: Who is protecting the vehicle and the occupancies?

All of the answers point to me. Though at that moment I wish it was someone else. I am responsible for my actions, payment, and protection of what I do and the choices I make. No one will pay the price for my ticket for me, but I do have a Savior who helps me with the rest.
Lord, thanks for slowing me down in more ways than one. Thank you for paying off my debt of sin and guiding me to make better choices.

Anyone know how much speeding tickets cost?
