Understanding why thing happen in this life is not an easy thing. Most everyone has questioned God with the Why? question. Throughout my life this has probably been my number one question. This is what I have discovered.
The day that Eve chose to accept sin was the day that everything changed. God gave choice to every human; however, our choices are not limited to affecting only us. You have heard the statement, “it’s my life and I’m not hurting anyone.” Wrong one person’s choice affects many. God has given the choice to choose good or evil. We also have a choice to invite God into our situation, whether it is a situation we chose or someone else chose for us. The evil choices of others can cause anger and fear. Or I can CHOSE to invite God in to my life and rule it.
As a mother and one who has witnessed various abuses first hand, I struggle with trust. I am extremely protective of my children, but I refuse to allow Satan to have them or rule me with fear. Psalm 56:3 “When I am afraid, I will trust in you.” I continually put them in God’s hands. He can protect better than I can. I can pray like crazy, be watchful, wise, and know that God’s ways are not my ways, there better. I am secure in Him to know that His promise of protection over my children will not fail.
You know God loves you when in the delivery room of you’re first born the Lord speaks directly to your fears,” Your son will not go through your pains, or the sins of your fathers.” When you are blessed with two children, when you are suppose to be barren. God has never failed me. Yes, I have gone through some terrible times but God has delivered me for both my bad choices and the results of others.
Be encouraged, put it all in God’s hands and He will make it better.
