Never give up!

2 Corinthians 4:8 “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

I can’t believe it has been a month since I posted. This month has been a very tough one for me. Two precious Aunties have gone to be with the Lord. Another Aunt diagnosed with cancer, my own personal health problem, and we are moving at the end of this week.
We all face obstacles in life but it does not mean that things are bad. We can make the most of every opportunity given to us. This verse has been my inspiration this month. It has been a great month. Confused?

I have also had the privilege to stand in the gap with a young woman fasting for change in her marriage and family. I have watched as God has brought a crowd of new people to our Milpitas campus, hunger for answers from God. I have witnessed the team rise above challenges while making it look easy. I have been blessed to spend some time with Ohana and count my blessings. My awesome husband has made me slow down and enjoy my children, thank you.

No matter what comes my way, I have a God who is bigger than any obstacle and He is the reason I live. I can’t stop; too many people do not have this unbelievable peace that only God gives. I am compelled to share it. I encourage you to move forward and when times get tough, just say this verse.

Ask?

1 Chron. 14: 10 so David inquired of God: "Shall I go and attack the Philistines? Will you hand them over to me?" The LORD answered him, "Go, I will hand them over to you."

When I read about David it is common to see these words,” So David inquired of God”. So many times in life I quickly make decisions based on my own knowledge without thinking to inquire of God. Sure I probably don’t need to pray and ask God what I should eat for breakfast, but it couldn’t hurt. David did not take matters into his own hands when the result would have an effect on many.

Let me break it down. Who and what has God put you in authority over? With great power comes great responsibility. David understood this and took his authority seriously. We have all been given a measure of authority.

Husband/Wife- home, financiers, job, marriage, friends, co-workers
Dad/Mother- all of the above and kids. Parents have the best and most influential opportunity in the world.
Student- classmates, teachers, friends, co-workers
Teacher/nursery worker- students, babies

These are a few examples of where your decisions affect people. We have the God given power and authority to make our atmosphere align with God’s will and blessing. Bring blessing everywhere you go by asking of God. The overcome is a direct result of what you are basing your decisions on. Yourself or God.

Have you inquired of God today?
